Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Wilkins


Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Wilkins of Shelburn will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.

They will celebrate with a family dinner in Shirley’s Cafe at Shelburn.

Cards are welcome.

The couple were married Feb. 14, 1960.

Mrs. Wilkins, the former Patty L. Alumbaugh, is retired from John’s Dental Lab.

Wilkins worked 27 years at Alcan Aluminum in Terre Haute and Blant Construction Co.

The couple have two sons, Marty (and Lewanna) Wilkins of Marshall, Ill., and Jeff Wilkins of Casey, Ill. They also have four grandchildren.



Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Cochran


Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Cochran of Paris, Ill., will observe their 70th wedding anniversary Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010.

The Cochrans were married Feb. 10, 1940, in Henderson, Ky. Mrs. Cochran is the former Maxine Brown. The couple retired in 1982 from the family-owned business, Cochran’s Fertz and Chemical Sales.

They have two children, Phillip Cochran of Paris, and Kay and husband Larry Jones of Cleveland, Ohio. They also have three granddaughters and six great-grandsons.



Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Riggs


Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Riggs of Terre Haute will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.

The couple were married Feb. 14, 1970, in Fairbanks Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael Julian.

Mrs. Riggs, the former Jeanette Drake, is a family and consumer sciences teacher at Chauncey Rose Middle School.

Riggs is a school guidance counselor in Robinson, Ill.

The couple have two daughters, Emily (and Erick) Gonzalez and Bethany (and Dan) Gisel, both of Terre Haute.
