Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Weir
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Weir recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary during a surprise buffet dinner in the Bella Giardino Cafe in Brazil. There were 45 close friends and family in attendance with Wilson’s Photography taking memorable pictures.
The Weirs were married Aug. 28, 1971, at the Christ Temple Church in Terre Haute by the late Rev. Harley L. Weir. Mrs. Weir is the former Vicky Caton.
Hosts were the couple’s three children, Jonathan Weir and wife Robin, Tonia Dibble and husband Bill, and Heidi Madsen and husband Curtis.
They also have six grandchildren, Jeremiah Weir; Britney, Kaitlyn, and Lauren Dibble; and Seth and Ashlynn Madsen.
Mr. and Mrs. James L. Mishler
Mr. and Mrs. James L. Mishler of Terre Haute celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011.
The Mishlers were married Oct. 20, 1961, in Clay City.
Mrs. Mishler, the former Margaret A. Dalton, is retired from H&R Block.
Mishler is retired from Sycamore Engineering Inc.
The couple have three children, J. Gregory Mishler of Edinburg, Ill., Daniel L. Mishler of Terre Haute, and the late Kelli Ann Mishler.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Loy
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Loy of Rosedale will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. A family dinner is being planned.

The Loys were married Oct. 28, 1961, in Rosedale Baptist Church. Mrs. Loy is the former Charlene Frazier. Loy is retired from Indiana Bell in Rockville.
The couple have three daughters, Leesa Virostko, Joni (Joe) King and Tia Loy. They also have six grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. James H. Pickett
Mr. and Mrs. James H. Pickett will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, in First United Methodist Church at Brazil.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.
The Picketts were married Oct. 27, 1961, in First Christian Church at Brazil by the Rev. Earl S. Cummings.
Mrs. Pickett, the former Charlotte Raybould, is retired from Clay Community Schools Corp., teaches private piano lessons and is a choir director. Pickett is a retired Eckrich salesman.
The couple have one daughter, Larissa Goshen and husband Andy; and one grandson.
