----- — Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Jones

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Jones of Hillsdale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 1, 2011. A private party is planned.

The couple were married April 1, 1961, in Rosedale Baptist Church.

Mrs. Jones, the former Marvell Michael, is a homemaker.

Jones has been employed by MJS Insurance for the past 49 years.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffry E. Eller

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffry E. Eller of Terre Haute observed their 25th wedding anniversary March 8, 2011. They will celebrate with a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Ellers were married March 8, 1986, in the Northside Church of Christ by the Rev. Carson Spivey.

Mrs. Eller, the former Karla K. Daniel, is employed in the billing department at Union Hospital. Eller is director of food services and chef at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus.

The couple have two sons, Justin and Jared Eller, both of Terre Haute.

Mr. and Mrs. John Ugo

Mr. and Mrs. John “Jim” Ugo of Rosedale will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary during a small reception from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011, in the Lyford firehouse.

The Ugos were married March 18, 1951, in Terre Haute. Mrs. Ugo is the former Dee Williams. He is retired from Hardware Supply and Coldwell.

Hosts will be their friends and four children, Sherry Newman (and husband Doug) of Rosedale; Howard Ugo (and wife Isabell), Pam Bennett (and husband Duke), and Lorri Ugo, all of Terre Haute. They also have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Bird

Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Bird of Terre Haute will observe their 55th wedding anniversary April 1, 2011, during a family celebration in their residence.

The Birds were married April 1, 1956, in Flora, Ill.

Mrs. Bird, the former Nancy Selby, is a retired critical care nurse from Union Hospital.

Bird worked at Callahan Funeral Home and Stran Steel and retired as a maintenance worker from the Vigo County School Corp.

The couple have two children, David Bird and wife Lisa of Savannah, Ga., and the late Sally Bird. They also have two grandchildren.
