TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Max Cheek

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Max Cheek of Fairview celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010.

The Cheeks were married Aug. 13, 1960, in Sacred Heart Church at Clinton by the Rev. Bennett.

Mrs. Cheek, the former Barbara Ann Gutish, is a homemaker. Cheek is retired from Ivy Tech State College.

The couple have one daughter, Stephanie Hoctor. They also have two granddaughters.

Timothy S. Douglas

Mr. and Mrs. Timothy S. Douglas will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary today, Aug. 15, 2010. A September trip to Switzerland and Austria is planned.

The couple were married Aug. 15, 1970, in Memorial United Methodist Church at Terre Haute by the late Rev. Willard Doyle.

Mrs. Douglas, the former Lynn Frazier, is a retired school teacher, who taught in Paris Union School District No. 95 at Paris, Ill.

Douglas, also a retired teacher, taught in the South Vermillion Community School Corp. in Clinton.

The couple have one son, Ben Douglas and wife Kylie. They also have two grandsons.
