Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kemp
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kemp of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010.
A family dinner is planned at a later date.
The couple were married Dec. 30, 1960, in the North Terre Haute Baptist Church by the Rev. J.C. Durr.
Mrs. Kemp, the former Joyce Jackson, was a teacher for 41 years with the Vigo County School Corp., retiring from Rio Grande Elementary School.
Kemp worked as a Terre Haute city police officer.
Mr. and Mrs. Randall Hopper
Mr. and Mrs. Randall Hopper of Terre Haute will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner today, Dec. 26, 2010.
The Hoppers were married Dec. 28, 1950, in Merom.
Mrs. Hopper, the former Carolyn Martin, is a homemaker.
Hopper retired from Tredgar after 32 years.
The couple have four children, Scott Hopper and wife Luz Mary of Orlando, Fla., Randi Boaz, Amy Bagnoche and husband Rick of Terre Haute, and Lori Moskovsky and husband Ron of Schereville.
They also have 11 grandchildren and one stepgreat-granddaughter.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Fauber
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Fauber of Terre Haute celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in August 2010, during a reception hosted by their children. They also took a train trip to Seattle and then a cruise to Alaska.
The Faubers were married Nov. 21, 1970, in St. Patrick Church by the Rev. John Elford.
Mrs. Fauber, the former Margy Wrin, is employed by Union Hospital as a registered nurse in the Obstetrics department.
Fauber retired after 35 years with Union Hospital, most recently as assistant administrator at Union Hospital Clinton.
The couple have seven children, Brian Fauber of Greencastle, Sarah Zahn and husband Brian of Evansville, Erin Fauber and husband James, Monica Wilkerson and husband Les, Katie, John and Emily Fauber, all of Terre Haute. They also have 13 grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilson
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilson of Terre Haute celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Branson, Mo., during the Christmas season. There also was a reception hosted by family at the home of Virginia Wilson.
The couple were married on Dec. 23, 1960, by the Rev. Neil Kuns, at the home of the bride.
Mrs. Wilson, the former Delores Pearl Smith, was employed as a housekeeper.
Wilson served in the Marine Corps and retired from Bemis Co. after 37 years.
The couple have one son, Steve Wilson and wife Penny of Terre Haute. They also have one grandson.
