Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mahalek of Terre Haute celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on Dec. 29, 2009, in Negril, Jamaica, West Indies.
Mrs. Mahalek is the former Terry Elizabeth Lowe.
Mahalek is retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
The Mahaleks were married on Dec. 29, 1979, at the home of Max and Jean Whitaker by the late Judge Robert H. Brown.
The couple have four children, Dawn and Jeff Hulbert of Wilmington, N.C., Sean and Crystal Pearce of Escondido, Calif., Chris Mahalek of Fishers, Ind., and Zach and Miko Pearce of Indianapolis, Ind.
They also have five grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. William Meng
Mr. and Mrs. William Meng of Terre Haute will observe their 35th wedding anniversary on Jan. 25, 2010.
The Mengs were married on Jan. 25, 1975, at Taylor Chapel in Farmersburg, Ind.
Mrs. Meng is the former Judith McCormick.
The couple is retired from Pfizer, Inc.
They have two children, Debbie and Dan English and Ben and Denise Meng.
They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
