Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Funkhouser
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Funkhouser of Terre Haute observed their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, and celebrated with family and friends Saturday, Oct. 10, in Hulman Street Wesleyan Church.
The Funkhousers were married Oct. 9, 1959, in Terre Haute. Mrs. Funkhouser, the former Carolyn Bergherm, is a retired day care provider. He is retired from Colombia Home Products (formerly General Housewares) after 35 years and now works for Wolfe’s Auto Auction.
Hosts of the church celebration were the couple’s three children, Tammy K. Jones and husband David of Terre Haute, Dennis A. Funkhouser of Orland Park, Ill., and Scott M. Funkhouser and wife Amy of Terre Haute. They also have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
