ANNIVERSARIES: Sept. 18, 2011

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Sampson

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Sampson of Rosedale celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, with family.

The Sampsons were married Sept. 11, 1961, in the United Methodist Church at Marshall, Ill., by the Rev. Swain.

Cards are welcome and may be sent to 10184 S. McCord Lane, Rosedale, IN 47874.

Mrs. Sampson, the former Donna Jeffers, worked for Southwest Parke School Corp. Sampson is retired from United Parcel Service.

The couple have three children, Kathy (Brian), Ron (Shelli) and Casey (Amber). They also have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. and Mrs. James Evitts

Mr. and Mrs. James Evitts of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 23, 2011.

The couple were married Sept. 23, 1961, in her parents’ home in West Terre Haute by the Rev. Kennedy.

Mrs. Evitts is the former Sarah Waller.

The couple have four children, Tara Orman and husband Darrell of Clay City, Jaime Kempt and husband Jimmy of Terre Haute, Terry Evitts of Brazil, and Shaune Evitts and wife Lisa of Jasper. They also have 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kincaid

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kincaid celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Excaliber Catering at West Terre Haute.

The Kincaids were married Sept. 17, 1961, in Maple Avenue United Methodist Church.

The couple have one daughter, Chrissy John and husband Jason. They also have one

granddaughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sitarski

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sitarski of Terre Haute celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, during a private luncheon in The Landing at Fort Harrison, hosted by sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Richard Long.

The couple were married Saturday, Sept. 4, 1981, in Terre Haute by the Rev. Robert Clouse.

Mrs. Sitarski is the former Deborah “Deb” Springer.

The couple have one daughter, Katrina Ann Poe and husband Billy Ray of Austin, Texas. They also have one grandson.

Mr. and Mrs. James Brown

Mr. and Mrs. James Brown of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th anniversary with an open house from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church of Terre Haute.

It is requested that gifts be omitted, but cards are welcome and may be mailed to 4424 S. Fagin St., Terre Haute, IN 47802.

The Browns were married Sept. 16, 1961, in New Goshen by the Rev. Dean Ferguson.

Mrs. Brown, the former Linda Jones, co-owned Midtown Motel until retiring in 1999. Brown is retired from the Terre Haute Fire Department.

Hosts will be the couple’s children, Doug (and Judi) Brown of Birdseye, Ind., Terri Lynn Brough of Terre Haute, and Scott Brown of Terre Haute. The couple also have eight grandchildren.
