TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Roberts

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Roberts of Seelyville, and formerly of Indianapolis celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary during a recent special family event. The couple was married June 29, 1947, at the Irvington Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. Mrs. Roberts, the former Donna Jean Reich and a graduate of Indiana Business College, was a secretary for the personnel manager of the U.S. Naval Ordnance Plant in Indianapolis. She is a homemaker, mother and community volunteer.

Mr. Roberts, a graduate of Butler University, Indianapolis, served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force as a navigator in World War II and a fighter pilot in the Korean War. He continued his service to our country for several years in the National Guard. He currently owns his own business, which he started in 1954. He also has served the Terre Haute community as a volunteer in several civic organizations.

The couple has five children, Cindy Roberts of Carmel, Valeri Chapman and husband Jim of Omaha, Neb., Tom L. Roberts and wife Doris of Indianapolis, Jim Roberts of Seelyville, and Cheryl Roberts of Indianapolis. They also have five grandchildren, Brent Johnson and wife Julie, Lauren Caso and husband Jorge, Jamey Chapman, and Kimberly and Daryl Roberts. Their great-grandchildren are Adam, Samuel and Elliott Johnson.



Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kleptz

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Kleptz will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012.

They will renew their vows and a reception will follow at 2 p.m. in Blackhawk Community Church at 12655 State Road 159 in Pimento.

Family, friends and church family are invited.

The Kleptzes were married Aug. 1, 1987, at Lakeridge Church in Paris, Ill., by the Rev. Norman Eslinger Jr.

Mrs. Kleptz, the former Janet Kemper Hollis, is a homemaker. Dan is employed at Great Dane Trailers in Terre Haute.

The couple have two children, Michelle Hollis Davis and Michael Hollis. They also have two granddaughters, Kelsey Hollis and Madeline Davis.



Mr. and Mrs. Richard Howk

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Howk of Rosedale will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary today, July 22, 2012, with family and friends in Logan’s Steak House.

The Howks were married July 26, 1947, at Rosedale Baptist Church.

Mrs. Howk, the former Marilyn Everett, is a homemaker. Richard retired on Dec. 31, 1987, from Hercules Inc.

The couple have four children, Carla Brenton and husband Steve of Rosedale, Brian Howk and wife Peggy of Rosedale, Robin Wilson of Terre Haute, and Sharon Manley and husband Mark of Rosedale. They also have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.



Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fred Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fred Smith of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. July 29, 2012, at Fowler Park Barn.

Friends and relatives are invited.

Mrs. Smith is the former Sharon L. Crowley.

The couple have one child, Darin Smith of Terre Haute.
