Dr. and Mrs.

C. David Hay

Dr. David and Joy Hay of Terre Haute and formerly of Parke County celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Nevada, California and Oregon.

The were married Sept. 25, 1987, in the old log church at Turkey Run State Park by the Rev. Kirby D. Smith.

Dr. Hay and Joy retired in 2002 from the practice of dentistry in Rosedale.

Harry Tobe Brady Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tobe Brady Jr. recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Harry and Rose Ann were joined in holy matrimony officiated by the Rev. Johnson in Columbus, Ky., Sept. 21, 1962, at the home of her parents, Joe and Mable Russell.  

After obtaining college degrees in both Kentucky and Indiana, Harry and Rose Ann were employed in education and administration in the Vigo County School Corp. in Terre Haute. Harry enjoyed farming and the construction of several homes in Vigo County. The couple were involved in breeding, training, and racing thoroughbred horses for many years in Indiana and Kentucky.   

The Bradys have one daughter, Dr. Lora Brady Plaskon and son-in-law Dr. Brian Plaskon; and two grandchildren, Toby and Portia, of Bellevue, Wash.

This past April, Rose Ann and Harry celebrated in Maui and most recently had a sentimental journey back to Indiana and Kentucky to spend time with friends and family. They now make their home in Snohomish, Wash., a short distance north of Seattle.

David Osella

David and Anita (Scioldo) Osella of Clinton observed their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2, 2012.

The couple were married Sept. 2, 1972, at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton.

David is retired from Clinton Ready Mix and Anita is employed at Central Elementary School.

They have three children and eight grandchildren.

A surprise open house is being planned for Sept. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church on Highway 63. Please come and celebrate with them.



Mr. and Mrs.

Carl Koehler

On Aug. 3, 2012, the family of Carl and Patricia McCloud Koehler gathered for a celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.

On Aug. 3, 1952, they were married in the Center Point United Methodist Church by the Rev. Clifford Scholey.

After four years in the Air Force, they returned to their Clay County farm for the next 56 years.

Carl, a retired farmer, and Patricia, a retired teacher, raised a family of four children. They are: Bill Koehler and wife Elaine, Larry Koehler and wife Carol, Kathy Weddle and husband Jay, and Susie Kingery and husband David.

Also in attendance were Carl’s brother, Chris Koehler and wife Shirley, and Pat’s brother, Joel “Bud” McCloud.

They also have 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, many of whom attended the dinner.

Barney Conrad

Barney and Wanda Conrad will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 27, 2012.

They were married in Evansville.

It is requested that gifts be omitted, but cards would be appreciated.

Wanda graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville as a registered nurse. She retired from St. Anthony’s and Regional Hospital.

Barney is retired from Terre Haute First Financial Bank.

They have four children, John Andrew (Frances) Conrad of Allen, Texas, Jayne Ann (Gary Kehoe of Clinton, Mary Elizabeth (Doug) Hiatt of Fort Wayne and Joanie (Larry) Dunn of Louisville, Ky. They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
