ANNIVERSARIES: Oct. 16, 2011

TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Mark McMichael

Mr. and Mrs. Mark McMichael of Center Point observed their 30th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, 2011. They celebrated in August with a land tour of Alaska.

Mark and Penny were married Oct. 3, 1981, in St. John’s United Church of Christ at Center Point.

The couple have two children, Tony McMichael and fiancée Betsy Ummel, and Reva Oellig and husband Bill. They also have two granddaughters.

Mr. and Mrs. David K. Brown Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. David K. Brown Jr. of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, in the Shrine Country Place at Terre Haute.

Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

The Browns were married Oct. 27, 1961, in Staunton United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown is the former Joan Shaffer. Brown is retired from Novelis.

Hosts will be the couple’s two children, Colonel David W. Brown and wife Patricia, and Cathy Crockett and husband John. They also have five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Parr

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Parr of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011.

The Parrs were married Oct. 27, 1963. Mrs. Parr is the former Dolores Bengry. Parr retired after 40 years as command chief master sergeant of the Indiana Air National Guard. Both are graduates of Indiana State University.

The couple have two sons, Terry Parr and wife Sandy, and Christopher “Chris” Parr and wife Shawn, all of Terre Haute. They also have two grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Isham

Mike and Nancy Isham of Carlisle will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011.

The Ishams were married Oct. 18, 1986, in Prairieton. 

Mrs. Isham is the former Nancy Persinger.
