Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Wright

Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Wright recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Alaska.

The Wrights were married Aug. 27, 1960, in the Prairie Creek Church of Christ by Roy VanTassel.

Mrs. Wright, the former Caren Johnson, retired as a registered nurse from Union Hospital.

Wright retired from Southwest School Corp. at Sullivan. He also taught at Highland, Ind., and Effingham, Ill.

The couple have two children, Beth Allen and husband Greg, and the late Bradley Wright. They also have two granddaughters.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd M. Lee Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd M. Lee Sr. will observe their 65th anniversary on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010. They celebrated Aug. 14 with a family party.

Cards are welcome and may be mailed to 10219 N. U.S. Highway 41, Farmersburg, IN 47850.

The couple were married Sept. 2, 1945, in Mount Olive Christian Church by the Rev. Ralph Walters. Mrs. Lee is the former Emma Jean Hunter. Lee is retired from Weston Paper Co.

Party hosts were their five children and their families, Floyd and Jane Lee, Delbert and Vicki Lee, Jim and Rhonda Lee, Ray and Camilla Lee, and Rita and Mike Barcus. They also have 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. John Klug

Mr. and Mrs. John Klug will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.

The Klugs were married Sept. 2, 1950, in Sacred Heart Church at Terre Haute.

Mrs. Klug, the former Marilyn Smudde, is a retired elementary teacher and Title I Reading teacher at Dixie Bee, Montrose, Weldele, and DeVaney elementary schools in Vigo County. She is a supervisor of student teachers at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.

Klug is a retired electrician and continues to farm in Prairieton.

The couple have five children, James Klug, Mary Beth Bauer and husband David of Evergreen, Colo., Daniel Klug and wife Janna, Richard Klug, and Janet Rowe and husband Mike, all of Terre Haute.

They also have 13 grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. William A. Goodrich

Mr. and Mrs. William A. Goodrich will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a community open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at the Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds in Brazil.

Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

Mrs. Goodrich, the former Linda Clayton, is employed by Providence Medical Center in Terre Haute.

Goodrich retired in 1997 after 34 years with Alcan Rolled Products, formerly Anaconda Aluminum in Terre Haute.

The couple’s yearlong celebration included an Alaskan cruise and trips to Arizona, California, Hawaii, Florida and Washington State. She also went on a dinosaur dig in Montana with one of her grandsons.

Hosts will be the couple’s children and their spouses, Billy Goodrich; Carrol and Scott Evans; Susan and Rob Piatt; and Barbra and Damon Buehrer. They also have 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
