TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Burch

Mr. and Mrs. Larry L. Burch of West Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.

The Burches were married Dec. 16, 1961, in Foursquare Gospel Church.

Cards are welcome and may be sent to 3461 St. Mary’s Road, Apt. 301, West Terre Haute, IN 47885.

The couple have five children, Tonya Jones of Plainfield, Larry Burch Jr. of Rialto, Calif., Helean Burch of Clayton, David Burch of Terre Haute and Noel Williams of Indianapolis. They also have four grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Born

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas “Tom” Born will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico.

They were married Dec. 24, 1976, in the rectory of St. Leonard of Port Maurice Catholic Church in West Terre Haute by the Rev. Gayso.

Mrs. Born, the former Bonnie Chambers, served as a foster parent and is a retired day care owner. Born recently retired after 33 years as a security guard for the Sisters of Providence.

The couple have two sons, David Born of Terre Haute and the late Billy Born.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Halt

Robert and Kiva (Fleschner) Halt of Terre Haute will celebrate 70 years of marriage on Dec. 13, 2011.

They were united in marriage Dec. 13, 1941, in a private ceremony at Greenwood Baptist Church, by the Rev. T.J. Pruz.

They currently attend Faith Wesleyan Church and have been members for 70 years.

Bob is a 1940 graduate of Honey Creek High School. Kiva graduated in 1941. Bob became a self-employed farmer in 1942 and farmed for 67 years in Vigo County.

Kiva and Bob have been blessed with two daughters, Barbara Beadle of Indianapolis and Joyce Jensen of Terre Haute. They also have four grandchildren, Tamara Stultz and husband Kent, Scott Beadle and wife Melissa, Melody Brooks and husband Jason, and Melinda All and husband Justin; and nine great-grandchildren.

 They will celebrate their anniversary over dinner with their family on Dec. 28 at the Allendale Country Club.

Mr. and Mrs. George Barden

Lorraine and George Barden celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday with family and friends.

The Bardens were married 65 years ago on December12, 1946, at the Mystic Congregational Church in Mystic, Conn. by the Rev. George Farnam.

Mr. Barden is a retired Quality Analyst from ALCAN in Terre Haute. Mrs. Barden, the former Lorraine Davis, is a retired fourth grade teacher from the Vigo County School Corporation.

Lorraine and George have two children, Cathy O’Keefe of Terre Haute and David Barden of Boca Raton, Fla. They have two grandchildren of whom they are also very proud, Michael Barden and Jaime Barden Medlicott of Boca Raton.
