TERRE HAUTE — • Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nieft

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nieft will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary on May 19, 2012, at home with family.

The Niefts were married on May 19, 1967, in the home of Andy Atelski, justice of the peace.

Mrs. Nieft, the former Sharon Shephard, is retired from the the Vigo County Courthouse. Nieft is a correctional officer at the Putnamville facility.

The couple’s children are Catherine Walker of Terre Haute, Deborah Turner of West Terre Haute, Patricia Sykes of Riley, and the late Susan Kluzinski and John Nieft. They also have 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.



• Mr. and Mrs. Chester Crague

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Crague of Parke County will renew their wedding vows during their 35th wedding anniversary celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, in Collom’s General Store at Bridgeton.

It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

The couple were married on May 21, 1977, in the Annunciation Church at Brazil.

Mrs. Crague is the former Kathy Urbain.

They have two children, Chad Crague of Rosedale and Courtney Crague of Henderson, Ky.



• Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Champion

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Champion of Brazil observed their 25th wedding anniversary on May 2, 2012. A trip to Hawaii is planned for June.

The Champions were married May 2, 1987, in the United Methodist Church at Clinton.

Mrs. Champion, the former Ida Steffy, is retired from the FAA.

Champion is a retired fireman from the Indiana Air National Guard, owns Rescue Training Inc., and is fire chief for Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department in Clay County.

The couple have one son, Thomas Champion.



• Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Davis

Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Davis observed their 50th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2012.

A celebration is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 20, in the fellowship hall of Faith Wesleyan Church.

Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

The couple were married May 10, 1962, in the United Methodist Church at Maryville, Mo. Mrs. Davis is the former Jolene Van Fosson.

They have one son, Robert Allen Davis and wife Leona. They also have four grandchildren.
