Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Boatman

Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Boatman will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Rosedale Civic Center.

The Boatmans were married Nov. 4, 1950, in the Assembly of God Church at Brazil. The Rev. Robert Bayless officiated.

It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

Boatman served in the United States Army Air Corps in Guam during World War II. He was a semi-truck driver for many years and was a trailer delivery worker at Hoosier Homes in Brazil.

Mrs. Boatman, the former Eileen Hines, worked in the Rosedale School cafeteria.

The couple have five children, Kenny Boatman and wife Janet of Terre Haute, Nancy Jones and husband Kim of Arizona, Jerry Boatman of Rosedale, Debbie Lewis and husband Robert of Mitchell, and Rob Boatman of Brazil.

They also have 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D. Hancock

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D. Hancock will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010. A celebration is planned at a later date.

They were married on Nov. 11, 1950, in the Sandborn Methodist Church Parsonage.

Mrs. Hancock is the former Marilyn J. Lawton.

The Hancocks have two children, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Worrell

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Worrell of West Terre Haute will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, in Providence Place Hall at West Terre Haute.

It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

The Worrells were married Nov. 10, 1950, in Eugene, Ore. Mrs. Worrell is the former Patty Malone.

The couple have three children, Michael Worrell of Sullivan, Rebecca Pearson of Terre Haute and John Worrell of Dennison, Ill. They also have 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
