Mr. and Mrs. David Troyer

Mr. and Mrs. David Troyer of Frankfort, Ind., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, in Harmony Hall, Wesley Manor, at Frankfort.

The Troyers were married Oct. 2, 1960, in Central Christian Church at Terre Haute by the Rev. Powell Mead.

The couple have two children, Mike Troyer and wife Melinda of Hartford City, and Cindy Durr and husband Mark of Sheridan. They also have four grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stiffler

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stiffler of Brazil will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary during an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, in the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department in rural Brazil.

Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome and may be sent to 15 E. Halbert St., Brazil, IN 47834.

The Stifflers were married Oct. 15, 1950, in Jasonville by the Rev. Anthony.

Mrs. Stiffler, the former Myla Skomp, worked in Brazil for the late Dr. Robert Maurer until her retirement in 1977.

Stiffler is retired from Amax Coal Co., Chinook Mine.

Host will be the couple’s son, Mike Stiffler of Brazil. They also have two grandchildren and three great-grandsons.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Powell

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Powell will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from noon to 4 p.m. today, Sept. 26, 2010, in Breden Memorial United Methodist Church in Terre Haute.

Friends and relatives are invited.

The Powells were married Sept. 30, 1960, in the Burnett Methodist Church.

Mrs. Powell, the former Linda Bouillez, is retired from Vigo County School Corp. Powell is retired from GTE.

The couple have three children, Michael, Marla and Mark Powell. They also have four grandchildren.
