TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Warren Scott

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Scott of Martinsville, Ill., recently observed their 50th wedding anniversary. 

They will celebrate with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m., CDT Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Martinsville Bible Church, 509 N. Ridgelawn Rd., Martinsville, Ill.

Friends and relatives are invited.

It is requested that gifts be omitted, but cards are welcome and may be sent to 12505 E. 1000th Rd., Martinsville, IL 62442.

The Scotts were married July 2, 1960, at the Martinsville Bible Church.

Mrs. Scott is the former Sharon Kannmacher.

The couple have two children, Julie Hackney and husband Ken and Vince Scott and wife Carla. 

They also have four grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lee Swearingen

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lee Swearingen of Clay City will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.

The Swearingens were married on Aug. 21, 1960, at the Church of Christ in Terre Haute, by Donald Logue.

Cards are welcome.

Mrs. Swearingen, the former Karen Annette Baughn, was employed for 18 years with Cloverdale Elementary School and eight years with Cloverdale Church of Christ.

Swearingen was employed at IBM in Greencastle, Ind. for 30 years and at Clover Meadows Golf Course for 15 years.

Both are currently employed part-time by French Funeral Homes.

The couple have two children, Gregg Swearingen and wife Jennifer of Centerville, Ohio and Jill Martz and husband Brad of Decatur, Ind.  

They also have five grandchildren.

The couple recently celebrated with family on a week-long trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. David Fields

Mr. and Mrs. David Fields of Terre Haute celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary during an island vacation in the spring.

The couple were married Aug. 16, 1980, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Terre Haute.

Mrs. Fields, the former Beth Mauser, is a nurse practitioner at the Family Medical Center in Terre Haute.

Fields is a maintenance technician at Sony DADC.

The couple have one son, Eric Fields of Phoenix, and one daughter, Emily Fields of Danville, Ind.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Fisher

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Fisher of Riley will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at the I.O.O.F. Hall in Riley.

Friends and relatives are invited.

The Fishers were married on Aug. 10, 1985, in the Shady Grove Community Church by the Rev. Marvin Miller.

Mrs. Fisher, the former Stephanie Price, is a preschool teacher for Karen’s Kids Daycare in Riley.

Fisher is a Local 20 sheet metal journeyman.

The event will be hosted by their daughter, Mary Irene Fisher.
