Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jackson
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest “Ernie” Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends on Jan. 14, 2012, in MCL Cafeteria in Terre Haute.
The Jacksons were married May 4, 1962, in the Ebenezer EUB Church.

Mrs. Jackson, the former Marsha Ames, is a retired fourth grade teacher after more than 37 years with the Vigo County School Corp. She is employed by St. Mary-of-the-Woods College with the distant education program. Jackson was a retired coal miner with Amax Coal.
The event was hosted by their daughter, Jane Jackson-Mace and husband John, and two grandchildren.
