TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sappington

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sappington of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary June 8, 2012, and celebrate during a vacation planned at a later date.

The Sappingtons were married June 8, 1962, in Plymouth Congregational Church at Terre Haute by the Rev. Robert Carnes.

Mrs. Sappington, the former Mary Sollars, retired as office manager of Sappington & Sons’ Moving Inc. Sappington owns Sappington & Sons’ Moving Inc.

The couple have four children, Arthur Sappington Jr. and wife Faye of North Carolina; and Daniel Sappington, Christopher Sappington and wife Rebecca, and Michelle Ritchey and husband Steven, all of Terre Haute. They also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.



Mr. and Mrs. Marty Dooley

Mr. and Mrs. Marty Dooley of Terre Haute will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary today, June 3, 2012.

The Dooleys were married June 3, 1967. Mrs. Dooley, the former Catherine Acrea, retired in 2006 after 22 years with the Vigo County School Corp.

Dooley retired in 2002 as shift commander after 35 years of service with the Terre Haute Police Department. He is a civilian employee of the THPD with plans to retire again in August after an additional 10 years of service.

The couple have one daughter, Kathaleen Louk and husband Eric, and one son, Marty Dooley Jr. They also have two grandsons.



Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harbaugh

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Harbaugh of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, in First Baptist Church of North Terre Haute. They will renew their marriage vows at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow in the church welcome center.

Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome and may be sent to 3640 N. Smith Road, Terre Haute, IN 47805.

The Harbaughs were married on June 9, 1962, in Eighth Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald Edwards. Mrs. Harbaugh, the former Judy Grizzel, is retired from Union Hospital but works there part time in the cardiac rehab department.

Harbaugh is retired from Union Hospital and works part time at Menards.

The couple have three children, Sherrie Asay and husband Paul, Lorie Jacso and husband Jim, and Thomas Harbaugh and wife Tracey, all of Terre Haute. They also have 11 grandchildren.



Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Cooper

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Cooper of West Terre Haute celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2012.

Cards are welcome and may be sent to 4901 W. Sarah Myers Drive, West Terre Haute, IN 47885.

The Coopers were married May 30, 1987, in the River of Life Church by the Rev. Maskell. Mrs. Cooper is the former Linda L. England.

The couple have six children, Robert Garred, Pamela Corbin and Paul Garred, all of West Terre Haute; Mike Cooper of Dennison, Ill.; Cindy Long of Champaign, Ill.; and Peggy Bryant of Terre Haute. They also have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
