• Dr. and Mrs. W. A. Trinler
Dr. and Mrs. W. A. Trinler celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 23, 2012.
The Trinlers were married at 2:30 p.m., June 23, 1962, in the First United Methodist Church at Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, by the Rev. Roland G. Carter.
Mrs. Trinler the former Jacquelyn M. Steeg, worked at Indiana State University where she taught in the speech/communications and correction education departments.
Trinler was a professor of chemistry at ISU.
The couple have one daughter, Christa Walrath and husband Wayne, of Phoenicia, N.Y.
• Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ehm
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Ehm of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2620 Ohio Blvd.
The Ehms were married June 22, 1962, in Luctor Christian Reformed Church at Phillips County, Kan.
Mrs. Ehm, the former Leota Soodsma, retired after 20 years as instructor and program chair from Ivy Tech Community College.
Ehm is retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons and First Financial Bank.
The event will be hosted by the couple’s children, Gordon Ehm and wife Cristina of Pittsboro, Ind., and Randy Ehm and wife Meg of Raleigh, N.C. They also have five grandchildren.
• Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hayes
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hayes of Terre Haute will observe their 65th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2012.
The couple were married June 27, 1947, in the First United Brethren Church at Terre Haute by the Rev. Merryman.
Mrs. Hayes, the former Joann Decker, retired from Vigo County School Corp. where she worked as a cafeteria manager at Fuqua and at teacher’s assistant at Farrington Grove. She currently works in the billing department at Providence Medical Group.
Hayes served in the Korean War for two years. He retired from the Honey Creek Volunteer Fire Department after 34 years of service and from Clarks Floral Co.
The couple have one daughter, Diane Held of Terre Haute. They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
