Mr. and Mrs. Norman Elder Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Elder Jr. of Rosedale will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary July 23, 2011.

The Elders were married July 23, 1976, in the First Christian Church at Paris, Ill.

Mrs. Elder, the former Janie Isbell Watson, is retired from Area 7 Agency on Aging and Disabled Seniors and Disabled Transportation.

Elder is retired from Bemis Co. Inc. after 40 years of service.

The couple have five children, Connie Large and husband David, Julia Marchesi and husband Brian of Lehigh Valley, Pa., Dawn Foote, Brad Elder and wife Jeanene, and James Watson and fiancée Dee Bedwell. They also have 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wright

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wright of Clinton celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 8, 2011, with their family.

Cards and letters are welcome.

The Wrights were married July 8, 1971, in the Clinton Sacred Heart Church.

Mrs. Wright, the former Diana Sanquenetti, is a retired elementary school teacher from Pheasant Point Elementary School in O’Fallon, Mo. She is a substitute teacher for the South Vermillion School Corp.

Wright is retired from General Motors in Wentzville, Mo.

The couple have two children, Jason Wright and wife Erica of Dana, and Vangie Harrison and husband Pat of Brazil. They also have five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sluder

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sluder of Coalmont will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversity with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, in the Girl Scout Building in Humphreys Park at Linton.

It is requested that gifts be omitted.

The Sluders were married July 8, 1961, in Providence Baptist Church in rural Jasonville. Mrs. Sluder is the former Carolyn English.

Hosts will be the couple’s children, Bryan Sluder and wife Lisa, and Rhonda Sluder.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mason

Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Sherry Mason of Terre Haute celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and reaffirmation of their marriage vows on June 18, 2011, in the Hulman Street Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Dr. Dan Willis officiating.

The couple’s children in attendance were Sean Mason and his wife Dana of Asheville, N.C., Andrew Nault and his significant other Kim Deverick of Terre Haute, Andrea Nicole Molina and her husband Thomas, and Michel Mason of Terre Haute.

The attending grandchildren were Ceysa Heine, Trenton Molina, Ryanna, Leanna and Lexann Nault of Terre Haute.

The reception for family and friends took place in the church’s auxillary hall followed by an evening garden party with music by D.J. Allen Cheek at the residence of eldest son, Andrew Nault.

The couple celebrated their second honeymoon at Indiana Beach, Holiday World and with Amish friends in Arthur, Ill.

The Masons were married on the Summer Solstice June 21, 1986, in Terre Haute by Ruell F. Burns Jr.

Mrs. Mason, the former Sherry Jo Nault, has been an employee with Kroger for more than 10 years.

Mr. Mason is retired from the Terre Haute Tribune-Star where he was employed as a pressman/printer for more than 36 years. Bob is still active as a musician, artist and writer.

Bob and Sherry would like to thank everyone who attended their celebration of 25 years together as husband and wife. Cards are welcome and may be sent to 2516 Park St., Terre Haute, IN 47803.
