Mr. and Mrs. Robert ‘Rocky’ Nelson

Mr. and Mrs. Robert “Rocky” Nelson of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, in the Tredegar Recreational Building.

Friends and relatives are invited.

The Nelsons were married May 7, 1961, in Liberty Avenue Methodist Church.

Mrs. Nelson, the former Delores Campbell, is retired from Union Hospital. Nelson is retired from Tredegar Film Products Division of Tredegar Industries Inc.

The couple have two sons, Mark Nelson and wife Monica of Knoxville, Tenn., and Tim Nelson and wife Beth of International Falls, Minn. They also have five grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Theodore ‘Ted’ Vaughn

Mr. and Mrs. Theodore “Ted” Vaughn of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, May 26, 2011. A trip to Niagara Falls is planned at a later date.

The Vaughns were married May 26, 1961, in Clinton. Mrs. Vaughn is the former Loretta Schell.

The couple have three children, Ted Vaughn and wife Lara of Terre Haute, Crystal Berry and husband Lewis of Terre Haute, and Rick Vaughn and wife Paula of Rosedale. They also have eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. T. Kirk Fredrick

Mr. and Mrs. T. Kirk Fredrick of Prairie Creek will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on May 24, 2011.

The couple were married May 24, 1986, in Jackson, Mich.

Mrs. Fredrick, the former Penny Smith, is employed by Staples Distribution Center. Fredrick is the safety manager for Terre Haute Great Dane. Both also are referees in various sports in the Terre Haute area.

The couple have two children, Garrett and Daniel Fredrick.
