ANNIVERSARIES: June 26, 2011

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Evans

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Evans of Terre Haute observed their 50th anniversary on June 24, 2011. A celebration is planned for a later date.

The couple were married June 24, 1961, in Quincy by her uncle, Floyd Smith.

Mrs. Evans, the former Judy Smith, is a homemaker. Evans is retired from General Housewares after more than 30 years.

The couple have three children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hofmann

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hofmann observed their 50th wedding anniversary on June 17, 2011.

The Hofmanns were married June 17, 1961, in Dugger Methodist Church by the Rev. H.J. Propheter.

Mrs. Hofmann, the former Sierra Sue Bargar, was owner and operator of Story Book Day Care.

Hofmann retired from Indiana State University in 2006.

The couple have three children, Brian Hofmann and wife Julie of Appleton, Wis., Kevin Hofmann and significant other Theresa Littleton of Indianapolis, and Stacey Majewski and husband Dennis of Highland Ranch, Colo. They also have three grandchildren.
