TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Bob Minger

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Minger of Terre Haute celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last month with family and friends.

They were married July 18, 1952. Mrs. Minger is the former Carol Stephens. Bob Minger worked for Hulman & Co.

The couple have three children, Chris and Hajnal Minger of Michigan, Kirk and Diane Minger of Texas, Lynn and Nancy Schopmeyer of Clay City.

They also have six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.



Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Brown

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Brown of Dennison, Ill., will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 5, 2012.

They were married Aug. 5, 1972, in Patton Methodist Church at Dennison by the Rev. Max Zellers. Mrs. Brown, the former Deborah Zellers, is a nurse at Meadows Manor East in Terre Haute. Mr. Brown is retired after 32 years of truck driving.

The couple have two children, Pastor Kelly (Michael) Rollings of West Terre Haute and James (Crystal) Brown of Terre Haute. They also have four grandchildren, Michaela and Brandon Rollings, and Tyler and Tristan Brown; four stepgrandchildren, Tara Wilkinson (Aaron), Tori (Jonathan) Hinseley, and Tyler and Scot Gustafson; and one stepgreat-granddaughter, Mkynzie Bridwell.

The couple plan to celebrate with a family dinner in the Beef House at Covington.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith K. Elkins Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith K. Elkins Sr. of Terre Haute will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, in the Moose Lodge. All who know them are invited to come and help them celebrate.

It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome.

They were married Aug. 10, 1957, in Terre Haute by the Rev. Naomi Keener.

Mrs. Elkins is the former JoAnn Presiler.

The couple have three children, Kim and Dan Haas of Richmond, Va., Lisa Elkins and Rodger Miller of Orlando, Fla., and Keith Elkins Jr. of Rudosa, N.M. They also have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
