Mr. and Mrs. John Steevens of Martinsville, Ill., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009, during a reception in the American Legion Post at Martinsville.
Friends and relatives are invited. It is requested that gifts be omitted but cards are welcome and may be sent to 417 N. Mill St., Martinsville, IL 62442.
The couple were married March 29, 1959. Mrs. Steevens is the former Donna Phillips. Steevens is retired from Country Companies Insurance and now works part time at the Casey Country Club in Casey, Ill.
Hosts will be the couple’s three children, John E. Steevens Jr., Joey Steevens and Melodie Steevens Davis. They also have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
