Mr. and Mrs. Don Minder celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009.
The Minders were married on Jan. 2, 1949, in Bloomington, Ill.
Mrs. Minder is the former Bernadine “Bunny” Hefner.
Minder retired in 1988 after 28 years as a manager for Hillman Jewelers in Terre Haute.
The couple have two children, Dennis W. Minder of Cleveland, Ind., and Tamara S. Henneman and husband Alan of Terre Haute.
They also have two grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. James Brooks Fulton
Mr. and Mrs. James “Jim” Brooks Fulton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009.
The Fultons were married Jan. 10, 1959, in their home, by the Rev. Sam Boyll.
Mrs. Fulton, the former Norma Jones, retired from Indiana State University Lab School in 1991.
Fulton retired after 41 years of service from Alcan.
The couple have four children, Dennis Fulton and wife Carol of Carrollton, Ga., Brian Fulton of Largo, Fla., Darrel Fulton of Terre Haute and Cindy Wood and husband Mark of Gardendale, Ala.
They also have seven grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Michael Schalburg
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Michael Schalburg of West Terre Haute observed their 35th wedding anniversary on July 7, 2008.
The Schalburgs celebrated with a trip to New York City.
The Schalburgs were married July 7, 1973, in First Assembly of God in Terre Haute, by the Rev. Goff.
Mrs. Schalburg, the former, Pamela Jean Potts, works as a receptionist at WMGI Radio.
Schalburg is an electrician at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Terre Haute and plans to retire this month.
The couple have two children, Kimberly Jo Schalburg-Kesler and husband Dennis, and Kenneth Robert Schalburg and wife Kristin Marie Agnew-Schalburg.
