Mr. and Mrs. Paul King will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. today, July 12, 2009, in the Cory firehouse.

The Kings were married July 11, 1959, in Cory. Mrs. King, the former Rita Halt, is a homemaker. King is a retired farmer.
The couple have two daughters, Mindy Seymour and Marni Loyd of Cory. They also have four grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. William P. Thiel
Mr. and Mrs. William P. Thiel of Riley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. today, July 12, 2009, in the indoor facility at the Outdoor Recreational Park on the Seelyville Road east of Tabortown Road.

The Thiels were married July 15, 1959, in St. Mary’s Village Church.
Mrs. Thiel is the former Susan L. Hines. Thiel is retired from the U.S. Penitentiary at Terre Haute.
The couple have three children, Timothy N. Thiel, Daniel P. Thiel and wife AnnFelice, and Jennifer S. Harkness and husband William. They also have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Collins
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Collins will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 18, 2009, during an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. in their daughter’s home at 210 Circle Drive.

The couple were married July 18, 1959, in Central Presbyterian Church by Dr. Osborne Schumpert. Mrs. Collins, the former Patricia Roberts, is a retired registered nurse from Union Hospital. Collins worked at CBS and in retail sales.
Hosts will be the couple’s three children, Mark Collins and wife Cheryl, Leslie Helman of Terre Haute, and Matthew Collins of Aurora, Colo. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
