Delores Ann Day

Delores Ann Day, 77, of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in Union Hospital. She was born in Sullivan County, Ind., on June 7, 1934, to William McCullough and Annabelle Hughes McCullough.

She is survived by five sons, Randy D. Day (wife Loretta) of Farmersburg, Charles F. Day (wife Patty) of Mansfield, Texas, Wayne E. Day (wife Mary Ann) of Sullivan, David J. Day of Terre Haute, and Scott A. Day (wife Amy) of Sullivan; four daughters,  Joyce E. Ellinger (husband Daniel) of Terre Haute, Tammy L. Day of Terre Haute, Teresa G. Cox (husband Jim) of Carlisle, and Peggy J. Cox (husband Mike Glover) of Mansfield. Also surviving are grandchildren, Daniel Ellinger, Jodie Nalley, Mendi Ellinger, Josie Day, Dawn Day, Lora Day, Michael Norman, Randi Day, Charlie Day, Michael Anderson, Wayne Day Jr., James Cox Jr., Kevin Cox, Justin Cox, Courtney Wells, David Day Jr., Connelly Day, Gaige Cavins, Harley Cox, Racey Cox-Glover, Beth Ann Glover, and Makenna Day; great-grandchildren, Logan Ellinger, Daniel Ellinger III, Christopher Nalley, Yasmine Day, Drew Kelm, Serenity Cavins, Gabrielle Tarwater and David Utterback; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Day in 2003. She also was preceded in death by one son, Ronald K. Day; a brother, Richard McCullough; a sister, Maxine Wolfe; and two great-grandchildren, Stacey Norman and Dewanda Bergner.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 8, 2012, in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home. The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association, in her memory.
